Hi, welcome to the new Grape Expert Tastings web site. Wish I could have made it to this wine tasting, it looks interesting. Please post comments about the night below, e.g. which wine you did/didn’t like and why, etc. Thanks James

Great evening, as usual. The highlight for me was the Two Hands Angels’ Share Shiraz, what a fantastic wine. Had to indulge myself at Majestic the following day (and picked up a bottle of Two Hands Gnarly Vine Shiraz at the same time, nice!).

Bring on the next one …

I had an idea which wine would be my favourite before the tasting, but I was wong! Whilst I still loved the big, fruity, indulgent Two Hands Angels’ Share Shriaz I was taken by what great value the De Bortoli Reserve Pinot Noir was. A Pinot Noir under a £10 which delivered complex red fruit flavours. A bargain!

Another enjoyable evening, tasting some different & interesting wines. Thanks to Andrew for arranging them & giving us an insight into their production & tastes. If you get the chance, try to get a place at one of the evenings. Very sociable & lively. Good fun. From June, my favourites were the Windy Peak Chardonnay or the Pinot Noir. As a treat, I would go for the Two Hands Angels but only a treat.
    Enjoy your wine.
